I am a glass artist working in Hampshire producing fused glass plates, bowls and coasters. Commisions undertaken
I am a glass artist working form home in Waterlooville, Hampshire.
I discovered a passion for glass making in 2015 and started making jewellery part time in a small kiln. Since them I have moved up to a larger kiln and I have developed a love of making larger items which are both beautiful and functional.
In 2019 I retired after 33 years in the NHS as a biomedical Scientist to concentrate on glass making full time.
I am mostly self-taught from books and the internet with a couple of taster sessions in a studio to get me started.
I enjoy bringing both my own visions to life and working with a client on a commission throughout the design process to produce a piece of work special to them.
I make bowls and plates from small trinket dishes and tea light holders 8cm square and coasters through to larger plates and bowls ideal for sweets and nibbles, up to fruit bowls and glassware suitable for dining. Pieces would also look good as a decorative item on a table or sideboard.
All of my glassware is made from Bullseye art glass and is fully annealed for strength.
