I’m an artist and designer who loves to work with pattern and print. Poured acrylic paintings are my latest discovery - every piece is unique as I never quite know how its going to turn out, but they always have beautiful depth and texture. With lino printing, I design a piece of lino that I then carve. Every print differs in terms of colour due to applying a different layer of ink for each print. I also produce encaustic art, which is created by melting coloured bees wax onto a hot iron and then applying it onto coated paper. Every piece is individual and all have beautiful depth of colour, and often texture.
All items are handmade and unique, - greetings cards, mounted art and framed pieces in a variety of sizes.
I trained as an architect, changed track after 4 years, and went travelling. Upon returning, I went into retail design and then art and design lecturing, specialising in teaching interior design to mature students. I love teaching pattern and print and exploring different techniques.
I produce most of my work on the dining table at home, much to my familys frustration!
