Handmade Carpet Bags and Quilted Christmas Ornaments

I have been in love with carpet bags for as long as I can remember and eventually made one for my myself. After many admiring comments I’ve decided to make some to sell.

The carpet I use has a silky short pile and the handles and straps are made of leather. It is made using a combination of machine and hand stitching and is lined with vintage atlas style fabric and two internal pockets. It has a hard base which is protected by brass studs on the bottom of the bag.

In the run up to Christmas I also make quilted Christmas tree baubles/ornaments which are made of folded fabric in a quilting style pattern.
