Potter

I am a potter, based in Peterborough creating various forms of ceramics, both functional and decorative. I use both hand-building techniques and the wheel in creating a sense of liveliness in my work.

I am inspired by nature and incorporate leaves and other flora into my work bringing the outdoors inside our homes. I am also inspired by ceramic art from the Mediterranean, its lightness and style. I use slips and a range of commercial glazes to decorate my work.

I run pottery workshops for school and corporate organisations, and for the past five years have run a Wednesday evening workshop for all skill levels and age groups. This is one of the most satisfying aspects of my work helping people develop their creative skills.
