Christine Shaw Textiles

Colour and texture form the basis of Christines work which includes a range of hand made books, textile brooches and bags.

Colour and texture form the basis of my work and many items show an historical influence. Bags, when available, generally rely on medieval shapes. The greatest part of her work includes a range of handmade books, many with textile covers of leather, silk and velvet. Textile brooches incorporating leather, wool, silk and beads are also added into the colourful mix.
