Designer/maker of handmade contemporary jewellery in silver with semi precious stones. Unique, flexible and wearable pieces.
My business is called MyJewlleryWardrobe. I design and make everything myself using silver and semiprecious stones. My jewellery reflects my love of textures and geometric shapes . I use fabrics, papers and industrial materials to texture my silver.
I combine circles and ovals to create necklaces and use rivets to create movement in many of my pieces. I make pieces using Keum Boo, a combination of gold and silver. I also reticulate silver to create interesting shapes and textures.
Flexibility is important to me when designing a piece so pendants can be supplied with long or short chains and several of the pendants can also be worn as brooches.
I frequently use Art Deco designs as a starting point when designing a piece but also make sure that all my jewellery is comfortable to wear.
I am delighted that one of my pieces was selected for display at the V and A museum as part off the Inspired by Competition. I have recently been featured on Morning Live BBC1 as I started my business in my 70s and continue to work.
I am happy to accept commissions and hope to be exhibiting at several fairs during the year.
