Ethical, handcrafted jewellery incorporating natural materials

We create unique handmade necklaces, bracelets and anklets from flax twine and metal beads and /or upcycled pearls. The result is a stylishly simple look for women who value our eco-friendly ethos but dont want to compromise on beautiful design.

Our ethical ethos is central to everything we do. From the materials we source through to the packaging we use…

- We use natural flax twine which is produced by Nutscene, just outside Dundee, in the rural county of Angus. They still use the original machinery first used by them back in 1922 and they employ local people to make this rustic traditional twine.
- The Tibetan metal beads we use are nickel and lead free.
- The pearls we use are artificial and are upcycled from old items of jewellery that we find in charity shops. We don’t use real pearls because aquaculture can be damaging to the environment due to the use of high-powered hoses to clean the oysters
- Our packaging is from Eco-craft and is all manufactured in the UK from recycled paper
- Our promotional material (our business cards etc) are made from recycled t-shirts

All our jewellery can be made to order if a specific length / different style is required. We love it when a customer comes to us with their own design that theyd like us to bring to life.

Im Gill and Im the chief designer, creator and tea maker at Magari and Co. My inspiration is, and has always been, nature. I’m at my happiest sleeping under canvass in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields, streams, trees and flowers. It’s a complete joy to create beautiful jewellery from the natural materials our amazing planet supplies.

I’m unwavering in my loyalty to eco-friendly materials, packaging and suppliers, but there’s no need for compromise on style and beauty… ever!
My mission is to create breath taking, statement jewellery. Now, I’m no skinny minny, but guess what ladies…jewellery, like lipstick, always fits! I love it when women of all shapes, sizes and styles tell me how fabulous my jewellery makes them feel. Mission accomplished.
