All my jewelleries are hand made and bespoke with sterling silver and semi precious stones
My love of knitting, sewing and jewellery making it all started when my mum unravelled an old cardigan of my grandmother and taught me how to knit, I made many headbands and outfits for my dolls. when I was 7 or 8 years old I learn to cut, sew and embroidery a pillow case, I loved it, when
I was 13, I cut my brothers nearly new school trousers nearly to make myself a school skirt and upcycle any unwanted clothes of my mum to make outfits for myself and my sister. I spend all my spare time sewing all by hands as I did not have a sewing machine.
When I got engaged February 1981, I wanted to make my wedding dress, my bridesmaid, flower girl dresses, my mothers dress, my wedding bouquet and my headdress. The same year I made my sister in laws wedding dress and her bridesmaid.
In the 80s I watched Kathy Beale from Easterners started a business making knitwear, I thought I could do that, thats when I started my hand knitting business. I had so many orders I bought a hand knitting machine and designed my own knitwear specialised in mohair and sell at many craft fairs and I had a space in a shop in Convent Garden and Hatch End.
My wedding dress business started when I designed and made my daughters wedding dress and all her 10 bridesmaid. I had so many orders for wedding dresses, mother of the bride/grooms, bridesmaid and prom dresses also upcycling and alteration.
I also started to make wedding jewellery to go with the wedding outfits with sterling silver, semi precious stones and freshwater and culture pearl also for tiaras, headdress and wedding bouquet.
I love making bespoke items to make that special day memorable.
