Join Mary McIntosh for a Unique Two-Day Textile Lamination Workshop

“Join Mary McIntosh for a creative two-day workshop where youll learn the art of textile lamination”

Looking for a creative escape this summer? Join textile artist Mary McIntosh for a vibrant and inspiring two-day workshop exploring the exciting technique of textile lamination.

Textile lamination is a surface design process where layers of sheer fabric and paper – in this case, vintage dress pattern tissue – are bonded together to create beautifully textured and translucent fabric. Once laminated, the surface becomes a unique canvas for stitching, embellishment, and creative expression.

In this workshop, you’ll experiment with layering, design, and free motion embroidery to produce a personal textile artwork – choose to create a soft, glowing light hanging or an expressive decorative fabric panel. Mary will guide you through each step, sharing her techniques and creative tips in a friendly, hands-on environment.

Perfect for textile enthusiasts, mixed media artists, or anyone wanting to try something new – whether youre a beginner or more experienced, youll leave with new skills, inspiration, and a piece of artwork that’s entirely your own.
