Tuesday 3rd Dec - Sketch and add texture.
Thursday 4th Dec - Colour application of oils using palette knives.
Dive into the world of colour, capturing the essence of the Northern lights. In this workshop, youll create your own deep edge canvas artwork. No prior experience needed.
Underpainting is a technique used to enhance luminosity in a piece and create translucent colour.
Guided by myself a qualified art, design and media teacher, this evening workshop (1-2 hours) will include conceptual creative design, canvas prep, textured application, acrylic underpainting and palette knife oil colour application.
The artwork can be taken home on day or collected from the gallery in a few weeks once the oils have dried.
The workshop starts at 10am with a short break half way through. It will be held in the main gallery upstairs. Unfortunately the building is very old and hasn’t got wheelchair accessibility yet.
All materials are supplied. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.
Downstairs in the square there is a pizza place called The Stone Room who do lovely meals and snacks. There is also the Lamb pub across the road.
