Over Stowey is the perfect place to host a Christmas craft market. It is nestled at the foot of the picturesque Quantock Hills and is home to an affluent and creative community, who thrive on social occasions such as this one. My own personal experience of markets and ales that I have been a part of and/or organised in the surrounding areas leads me to believe that this will be a very lucrative event for those stall holders that will be involved.
Aside from the monetary aspect of things, this event promises to be a joyous festive experience. The bar will be open, the mulled wine will be flowing and the chins will certainly be wagging in the lead up! I will be investing a lot of effort into the marketing of this particular event in the month preceding the event, and I would like to be able to advertise a variety of crafters including but not limited to: painters of various mediums, a ceramicist, a weaver, a glass worker, a willow weaver, a maker of clothes, a wood turner, a maker of sewn accessories (not clothes), a soap/candle maker, and many other crafts not listed here.
There will be about 25 stalls in total available to prospective stall holders, and seeing as variety is desirable, for some of the more niche crafts I will be accepting only one stall of that particular type. First come first serve! Stalls will cost £15 each, the proceeds of which will go towards the hire of the hall and marketing the event.
