Crafty Boaters Christmas Market 2021 is a two-day market running on two weekends. We aim to promote ha We accept all arts and crafts, sellers of pickles, preserves, cured meats cheese, hampers and chocolates, flowers and foliage. This list is not exhaustive, but we do not accept mass imported goods or vendors.
The dates of the market for 2021 are
Saturday 4th December 10.00 - 16.00
Sunday 5th December 10.00 - 16.00
The market comprises 48 pitches which are a mixture of indoor and outdoor stalls. It is spread over two main sites in the town of Lechlade-on-Thames, The first is The New Inn Hotel, and the second is the Riverside Pub. We also have a few outdoor pitches at The Tea Chest next to The Riverside. All venues are in the centre of Lechlade-on-Thames. We have chosen these sites for their picturesque old buildings near to the River Thames that give a very Christmas feel to the market. A donation is also made to the Lechlade Lions Club from both markets.
The Christmas market is in its second year of running, and although we do not have specific numbers for footfall, last years Christmas market and our Summer market was well attended, with some sellers averaging £300-£400 in sales and more.
Pitch prices (the price is both days of the market):
Inside stall The New Inn and Riverside £50 This includes a 6ft x 2ft table and two chairs (or long seat at Riverside)
Tented seating area outside Riverside £45 Includes a 6ft x 2ft table and chair
Outdoor pitch New Inn and Riverside £40 Inclides 6ft x 2ft table and chair only, Sellers must bring own gazebo
Please be aware that sellers must commit to both days of the market. No food vendors accepted at this market
The tented area is a permanent structure with a roof and no sides
The outdoor pitches require sellers to bring their own commercial grade pop up gazebo 3 x 3 metres Please email for information from us about the style of gazebo if you are unsure.
Please email us for more details about the markets. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, and payment secures your place. The allocation of pitches between the Riverside and The New Inn Hotel will be decided by the market organisers. All applications will be reviewed and the final decision for an offer of a pitch will made by the organisers. We aim to have the greatest variety of stalls possible, and therefore will only allow a limited number pitches for the same craft between the two sites for each market.
