Discover how easy it is to create stunning pieces of kiln-formed glass using this remarkable process which involves cutting and layering together colourful pieces of glass and a myriad of inclusions and accessories which are then heated in a kiln so that they fuse together. This method enables you to create beautiful objects such as light catchers, bowls, coasters and jewellery.
With plenty of easy to follow guidance, practical demonstrations and samples available to give you inspiration, Caroline will guide you through the whole process right from the very start of learning to cut glass all the way to the final steps, ready for the kiln.
Once you have been introduced to the process you will then be able to choose from making either two coasters and two trinket bowls, a 20cm square dish, a 13cm x 26cm freestanding wave or three light catchers. There will be plenty of reference materials and samples but you are more than welcome to bring along your own ideas and images.
At the end of the day Caroline will take your creations back to her studio for firing and they will be ready for collection a week later.
So why not get creative and have fun with fusing!
